A US global manufacturing company, has an urgent need to identify partners that can create micron-scaled designs with high resolution and accuracy.
Indication of interest should include examples of current micro-patterning capabilities and your ability to form such patterns on flat or cylindrical surfaces.
The company is looking for proposals from research groups,companies, or organizations with the requisite design and manufacturing capabilities. Appropriate responses will include a short non-confidential letter of interest that includes available information about:
- Background and experience in micro-patterning
- Ability to rapidly produce micro-pattern samples for the client to evaluate
- Ability to produce finished goods in flat or cylindrical format
The company is not interested in approaches that are inherently limited to small areas without reasonable potential to scale to the overall area objectives listed previously.
This is a fast track project and successful proposers will be contacted immediately with further information
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
Successful partners will enable the client to :
- Create micron-scaled patterns on metal or non-metal surfaces,
- Produce features on the scale of 0.5 - 100 µm
- Produce features that may be:
*Rectilinear and/or free-form
*Binary and/or true 3-dimensional
- Densely pack features up to 50,000/cm2
- Create desired patterns on flat or cylindrical (preferred) surfaces:
*Cylindrical: up to 75 cm circumference, and up to 1.75 m long
*Flat: up to 1 x 2 meters
