A French SME is looking for skills for (semi)-automating packaging and handling of pieces (food packings) at the end of an injection-moulding production line. The need is a feasibility study in order to define the specification of the future equipments. The production yield is expected to achieve up to 1 million food trays/day. Technical cooperation is sought.

The production of the food packings will be also automated.
The food packings production is expected to start within 1-2 years.
The specifications will be defined jointly and will take into account requests for flexibility, modularity, and possibilities of evolutions depending on the production yield or new pieces.
The solution to define is expected to offer also benefits for the handling within the customers.
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements of the request
- Handling : automated or semi-automated system based on chute conveyors or idlers conveyors or any other.
- Description of the product: Weight of each packing = 25 g. Size of each packing = typically 190 x 140 x 35 mm. The goal is to package 100 packings (free of food) in a same container.
- Packaging: Cardboard for one use only or any heavy-duty container to be used several times between the company and its customers.
