An Andalusian company, working in the field of aeronautics, is looking for technologies for resin and glass/carbon fiber treatment. With this technology they would like to improve a process aimed at recovery and recycling carbon fiber composites. The state of development of the technology requested should be at laboratory stage. They are looking for a Technical Cooperation Agreement.

The Andalusian Company is a supplier of components for the aeronautical sector, outstanding in carbon fiber composites technologies. They are able to take full responsibility for the design, development, certification, manufacturing and support of complex carbon fiber aerostructures.
Nowadays, the current problem is the difficulty to separate cured resin from reinforcing fibers in order to reuse them in manufacturing new composites. Composites recycling and recovery will be high added value knowledge in the near future.
Concerned about this, the Andalusian Company is looking for technologies for the treatment of resin and glass / carbon fibers. The requested technologies are aimed at obtaining a new process for recovering and recycling carbon fiber composites.
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements of the request
The main objectives of the process would be the materials recycling, sustainable materials and reducing waste production, and more specifically:
- Materials recycling and use of new good recycled products: reduce consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, and reduce pollution.
- Environmentally sustainable materials: reduce air pollution.
- Increase life time products: reduce waste production.
Specific areas of activity of the partner:
- Recycling and recovery.
- Pilot plant design.
- Plant design (basic and/or conceptual).
