A small Czech company has developed and patented a low cost manufacturing process of TiO2 nanoparticles based on a modification of crystalline anatase. These nano-particles can be used in the production of photocatalytic products (sunscreens, photocatalytic coatings, etc.). The company is interested in license agreement with technical cooperation.
The progressive development in the area of the photocatalytic products results in an increased global production of TiO2 nanoparticles. Many photocatalytic products contain relatively low amounts of nanoparticles but there are only a few manufacturing processes capable of producing TiO2 nanoparticles under $10,000/ton.
The most common type of TiO2 production uses a modification of a crystalline form of rutil. This production process is well known and titanium dioxide based on rutil is called white pigment. There are many applications of white pigments around us (paints, ceramics, paper, toothpastes, etc.). Another production process of titanium dioxide uses a modification of crystalline anatase. Patented TiO2 manufacturing process of the sulfate pigment modification of anatase is a low cost manufacturing process. It enables to produce high-quality nano products and makes the manufacturing cost of TiO2 nanoparticles comparable to the production cost of white pigment (10x cheaper than today's nano- price).

The nano-TiO2 manufacturing process is a low investment cost and highly economical technology capable of producing high quality TiO2 nanoparticles for the cost of a white pigment (production cost 10 times cheaper than that of the existing nano processes).
This manufacturing process of TiO2 provides:
- highly crystalline and small particles,
- uniform particle size distribution,
- controllable particle size,
- open morphology - highly accessible surface,
- dispersible ease incorporation into products.
