UK based developer of high integrity safety critical embedded software is looking for a low cost EU based partner to help meet its project peaks.
The partner will need to have extensive experience of developing or testing software applications to industry standards such as DO-178B, IEC 61508 etc. Additionally, some projects require supporting resource to be based at their site in the UK.
The UK company has 100 full time engineers specialising in real time embedded and safety critical applications. The UK company do everything in the software development lifecycle from planning for certification, requirements capture, architecture design, detailed design, implementation, static analysis, unit testing, software integration testing, hardware software integration testing, system testing and generation of certification documents.
The UK company undertakes work packages for their clients either as full life cycle developments or as single phases of the lifecycle. The work they do is to the highest engineering standards such as Do178B, 61508 etc, and it is important that they deliver the software back to the clients, on time, right first time.
Recently, more and more of the projects they are working on are being placed under export control or ITAR restrictions and this has meant they can not longer use their Indian partner on some of these projects.
Therefore, the UK company is looking for a European partner with significant experience of high integrity software development that can offer them the expertise in bespoke intregrity software systems so they can respond quickly to peak demands from their clients which currently is proving to be difficult due to the lack of available partners in UK who specialise in this field. They must have an excellent track record for quality and can provide flexibility in both resources and the locations were those resources are deployed. The ability to provide staff to come and work for short (3 month) periods in the UK is essential as some of their projects are restricted to named sites of which theirs is one.
The selected client will not only provide technical co-operation but will also have the opportunity to have a joint venture partnership on current and future projects.
