A UK SME wishes to develop a mesh interconnect for telecommunications/xSP (service provider) application using existing components in a novel implementation. The resulting implementation removes aggregated data switching used by star network topologies by exploiting latest generation data modulation methods. They seek academic or commercial collaborators with skills in electro optical engineering for joint venture research and development.
Array based computing relies upon efficient and reliable data transfer between compute nodes. Existing off the shelf technologies rely on aggregated data switching topologies which add latency, contention and single points of failure.
A UK SME with a wide range of experience in the sector has a number of conceptual avenues to explore to over come these issues by novel implementation of existing leading edge techniques.
To best evaluate and trial these techniques the UK SME with concepts, use case, software/hardware engineering skills is looking for academic or commercial collaborators with skills in electro optical engineering for joint venture research and development. The SME has an existing route to market for this solution once integrated into their proprietary stack.
