The global leader in the sporting goods industry, located in Herzogenaurach, Germany, has been part of the world of sports for more than 80 years offering a broad portfolio of products and delivering state-of-the-art sports footwear, apparel and accessories. In order to improve the performance of their products, the company is currently looking for innovative yarns for new developments in footwear operations.
The requirements and specifications of properties on textiles in the sports industry are very high and need to be continuously improved to keep an utmost performance level. In order to meet this target, the German company global leader in the sporting goods industry wants to develop smart and innovative textiles by applying the right yarns. The yarns sought are supposed to have the following features and specifications:
- temperature-sensitive yarns, extending with higher temperature
- cooling yarns or yarns feeling cooler on the surface than ambient room temperature
- yarns enabling a quick absorption of sweat and drying process
- yarns providing a high abrasion resistence and a certain rigidity
- melting yarns that melt at different temperatures
- yarns becoming ductile by heat and pressure
- heat abrasion resistant yarns
- photovoltaic yarns or yarns with optical features
The German company is looking for advanced and high-tech textile or yarn manufacturers experienced in producing innovative and smart yarns/textiles - ideally for applications in the sports industry - for technical and commercial cooperations. Also companies from other sectors (e.g automotive or electronics) with innovative solutions could be a potential partner
