Preparation of nanosized sepiolite as additive compatible with polymer material (11 ES 27F4 3KR7)

A Spanish Technological Center is looking for a technology for getting nano-sized organoclay sepiolite. They would carry out the preparation of organoclay nanocomposites adding sepiolite to certain plastics to improve their characteristics. The Center is also interested in acquire the transfer of knowledge for developing the technology for getting nano-sized sepiolite. They are looking for a Manufacturing Agreement.

A Spanish Technological Centre that works in the development of nanocomposites is interested in a technology for the preparation of nanosized sepiolite as additive compatible with polymer material. The dispersion of the clay layer in the polymer matrix must involve an improvement of the properties of polymers. Several inorganic materials are added to the polymers in order to modify the properties. These inorganic materials do not allow an adequate dispersion with the polymers and surface treatment is necessary. Technologies for preparation of organoclays are required, such as the use of alkyl ammonium ions or other surface treatments.
