Název projektu:
Preventing Dirt Deposition (11 LU 87GA 3NLA)
Popis:
A large US company is looking for proposals for technologies, formulations and reagents that will prevent greasy dirt from accumulating on surfaces and fibers.
They are interested in licensing, product acquisition, contract research, proof of concept leading to scale up to manufacturing, joint development, supplier agreement.
As an alternative approach to common cleaning methods, materials and tools, the request sponsor is interested in developing products that use preventing methods, including:
-Prevention of dirt deposition
-Prevention of dirt's movement and redistribution on a surface and/or fiber.
Disruptive platforms, alternative approaches, radical innovations, and novel materials from traditional and natural sources, are especially welcome.
Possible technical approaches might include, but are not limited to:
-Surface treatments, e.g. material deposition, anti-adhesion films, coatings
-Surface modification, e.g. through structural, oleophobic, electric potential
-Fat fixation.
Industries and applications with approaches of interest might include, but are not limited to:
- Wipes and impregnated cloths
- Cleaning agents and systems for electronic equipment
- Automotive cleaning and detailing
- Food industry applications
- Textile industry applications
- Agricultural applications
- Traditional practices.
The following approaches are not of interest:
- Materials that fall within the chemical classification of surfactants or biosurfactants.
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
The successful technology, procedure, device, system or material will:
- Be applicable to fatty dirt, e.g. waxes and oils
- Be applicable to solid surfaces and/or fibers
- Achieve any or all of the following:
Change surface and/or fiber properties so that fats do not adhere to or accumulate on them
Protect a surface and/or fiber from fat deposition
Repel fats from surfaces and/or fibers
- Function under ambient, natural conditions
- Approaches that are compatible with living organisms are preferred
- Approaches that do not wash off with water are preferred.

Požadavky na partnera:
Requested Cooperation: License Agreement, Absolutely novel process, Joint further development, Testing of new applications, Adaptation to specific needs
Responses from companies (large or small, startups, etc.), hospital or academic researchers, contract research institutes, pharmacologists, nutritionists, medicinal chemists, drug formulators, biochemists, physiologists, alternative or traditional medicine providers, etc., from around the world are all welcome.
The company will select compelling proposals for preliminary direct discussions to further assess the technology and determine possible next steps including demonstration in current system, feasibility testing, or proof of concept testing in client's model (phase 1).
Promising approaches will be supported for subsequent phases of development and/or commercialization to be determined as appropriate to technology type and readiness.
The client prefers arrangements where intellectual property is already secured by the responder or can be co-developed such that exclusive use in the intended market can be obtained. At a minimum, the client expects freedom to use provisions in exchange for supporting the co-development of any new technology for the intended application.
Note that this profile requires a convincing solution proposal. Please contact your local EEN to get the Response template and find more information on the specific process here: http://www.us-eu-match.com/index.cfm?action=processFlow
