This UK-lead Eurostars project investigates application of the cloud delivery model, and addresses fundamental issues of data security, privacy, and standards.
The UK lead currently provides components to build secure systems with strong authentication, authorisation and key update on local or wide area networks and the web and has several proprietory products.
A partner SME, active in the processing of sensitive data in the cloud is sought in order to test the project outcomes.
The project seeks to allay potential security leaks by storing encrypted data so attacks on the cloud servers will not reveal sensitive information. This moves the problem to the safe storage and retrieval of the encrypted keys. Proprietory technology will be utilised to provide multi-factor authentication of Users using active tokens that resist cloning and can recover from insider attacks.

There are 2 participants in the consrtioum, a UK based SME
and a Swedish SME.
