Název projektu:
PS : FP7 SME 2012 : Adaptation of new welding technics and tightness control for reliability - based design of welded molds for the composite industry (11 FR 34k3 3ML0)
Popis:
A French SME is acting as project coordinator for a proposal that will be submitted to the 2012 Research for the benefit of SME call. The proposal is related to the control of the entire manufacturing process of welded molding tools. The proposed project aims to secure all the phases of mould manufacturing in order to assess the tightness of the mould in field-test conditions. Now the project leader is looking for RTD performers in order to address specific fields of the process development.
Tightness of molds is an essential need of Aerospace composite industry. Today the composite industries only become conscious that a mold is not fully air tight while using it. And the methods used to find the failure and to repair it are both expensive and time consuming.
The project addresses this problematic by developing a fully secure manufacturing process using data transfer during the different phases:
- Welding process control
- Reliability-based calculation of deformation (before machining)
- Tightness control in specific temperature conditions
According to the project plan, the additional RTD performers sought will achieve:
- Study of innovative welding technics and materials adapted to join complex rolled-form steel sheets (medium thickness) while respecting quality standards and constant costs
- Development of a new method to assess the air tightness of a welded mold in temperature conditions (in an autoclave) without manufacturing a test piece.
Furthermore, skills in following areas would be helpful:
- Large experience of technology transfer to SME
- Quality standards "valorization"
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
Call FP7-SME-2012 Research for the benefit of SMEs
Publication Date: 20 July 2011
Budget: ¬ 214 700 000
Deadline: 06 December 2011 at 17:00:00 (Brussels local time)
The project coordinator would like to have the consortium finalized by 15th of October
