A UK company is seeking a partner with expertise in virtual reality software and human machine interface technology to join a small consortium for a Eurostars project proposal with the objective of developing and refining a new technology to support a Heads Up Display (HUD) -based system for use within small to medium sized construction and agricultural vehicles.
The objective of the project is to develop a novel Heads Up Display (HUD) technology, specifically targeting the small to medium sized construction and agricultural vehicle market, to provide operators with key information related to the vehicle without requiring them to look away from the work in hand.
The technology to be developed will comprise:" A Helmet/Visor Mounted Display, designed for integration directly to the vehicle and for projection onto the vehicle windscreen and/or visor;" A light engine, leveraging advanced LED technology to deliver a low-power, low volume, mechanically stable optical train;" A telemetry framework, supporting connectivity to on-vehicle sensors and instrumentation via standard connectivity (eg CANbus) or through the development of custom communications.

The partner may be an SME, Large Enterprise or Research Organisation (depending on national criteria re Eurostars participation).
