Název projektu:
PS-Eurostars_GreenSpot_An intelligent system to achieve optimal energy management in large, inhabitable buildings (11 ES 23D1 3MJ0)
Popis:
A Spanish IT services SME looks for a partner with expertise in Building Automation and HVAC (Heat Ventilation and Air Conditioning) Systems to join a reload proposal for the current call of the Eurostars programme. The project goal is to apply advanced data analysis, machine learning, predictive models and statistical analysis to optimize efficient energy management in large buildings (Hospitals, Airports, Hotels, Offices, Public Buildings) by means of better operating the HVAC systems.
GreenSpot aims at bringing Efficient Energy Management to the market of large public buildings, like Hospitals and Public Administration facilities, and private ones like branch offices and Hotels. According to the International Energy Agency, buildings currently account for 40% of energy use in most countries, putting them among the largest end-use sectors [2] .
Buildings are the place people spend their time working or living. Environment in large buildings, like hospitals or hotels, are controlled by an operations centre. The goal is to keep a general comfort for the people inside. However, this comfort comes at a price, which has to be managed.
A new market is rapidly growing among SMEs that provide specific services of Efficient Energy Management (EEM). These are called Energy Service Companies (ESCOs).
The main goal of GreenSpot is to deliver a software system that's capable of achieving EEM in large buildings where comfort is a key factor to take into account and environmental conditions are centrally controlled.
The Spanish company will lead the project coordination and will be responsible for the overall design of the software architecture. It will also lead the integration of the IA module, sensor data acquisition, and device control.
They need a Partner to provide solid experience in Building Automation and expert knowledge on (mainly) HVAC systems and energy efficiency.

Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
The GreenSpot proposal was submitted to the previous Eurostars call (Cut-off 6, March 2011) and was medium ranked. They consider that they can improve it and re-submit a winner proposal for Cut-off 7 (deadline 22 september). From the original consortium there is one partner (systems integrator) that for internal reasons cannot join the consortium again. For this reason they are looking for a company to replace it.
Estimated overall budget is 850.000¬.
Project duration is 24 months.
European funding according to each country (please contact your National Project Coordinator at http://www.eurostars-eureka.eu/where.do)
The consortium is formed by:
- Partner: CSD
Country: SPAIN
Role: Leader, Software Development
Profile: SME intensive in R&D, ICT company devoted at systems integration, software development and quality assurance, technological infrastructure and consulting.
- Partner: Htlab
Country: ITALY
Role: Researcher, Energy Efficiency Expert
