Popis:
A Polish SME managing a biogas-fueled power plant is looking for RTD performers, SMEs involved in biogas production and utilization for collaboration in the project within 7th Framework Programme, Capacities: Research for SMEs action. The partners are expected to collaborate in constructing and testing of novel engine.
Biogas is one of the best recognized renewable energy sources. It is produced in almost any organic matter fermentation process and thus it is largely accessible. However, not all sources of biogas can be utilized due to low methane content. Also the existing biogas-powered engine efficiency could be increased to reach the satisfactory levels.
The aim of the project is to develop a novel biogas-powered engine that will enable utilizing of low methane containing biogas while maintaining or enhancing the engine efficiency. Either significant improvement of existing constructions or novel constructions are taken into account.
The expected outputs:
- better utilization of low methane-content biogas sources,
- increase in renewable source energy production,
- decrease in greenhouse production due to biogas utilization.
The Polish company is looking for a coordinator (i.e. RTD performers, SMEs involved in biogas production and utilization) and is ready to play a role of partner in a research consortium.
