An Israeli manufacturer of polymer films and packaging is looking for a technology to improve oxygen and water barrier properties of polyethylene films, intended for use as packaging in the food, medical or chemical industry.
The requested technology can be at any stage of development
Description:
The company is specialised in development, production and marketing the polymer films & laminates. They are seeking solutions for significant improvement of barrier properties of PE-films, to replace existing methods, e.g. for PA (polyamide), PET (polyethyleneterephtalate) or metal lamination.
The films are produced by a blown process and can be of one, two or three layers.
Typical thickness of the films for the described application is between 20 and 80 microns. The requested technology has to offer the product / composition, which should:
- be compatible with PE and its copolymers,
- be thermally stable (250 deg. C).
- not affect the mechanical properties of the film.
- not affect the optical properties of the film.
