A Turkish SME, experienced in Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) and Bulk Molding Compound (BMC) is looking for an automation system to be applied to its BMC/SMC production line. The company is open to commercial agreement with technical assistance opportunities with potential partners, who could provide this automation system.
SMC and BMC form a family of structural, fiber reinforces thermosetting resins. SMC and BMC are intermediate materials from which a large variety of products can be manufactured by compression moulding or injection moulding. SMC and BMC are used in this wide variety of applications including automotive, electronics, building & construction, domestic appliances and etc. due to the combination mechanical and physical properties at the lowest system cost, without compromising on quality.
The whole manufacturing process is being held manually by the Turkish SME, which leads to lack of effectiveness in the production line both in terms of time and cost.
To eliminate such drawbacks and to increase its manufacturing capacity, the Turkish SME is looking for a system that could automate its SMC/BMC production line. In this respect, it is looking for potential partners to provide an automation system for their production line through commercial agreement with technical assistance.
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
The above mentioned automation system should be able to store liquid and solid material in the rustproof silos automatically. The system then should transfer the materials to the dissolver by means of SCADA system in pre-defined weight and periods.
After the dissolver process, the system should mix this compound (between 3000 and 10.000 CP viscosity) with glassfiber sized in desired length.
The whole system should automatically produce SMC/BMC in their pack without any labour.
