A Dutch company is specialized in manufacturing of garden tools and tools for agricultural/ horticultural applications. The company has developed an exclusive and extended range of standard and special products and hand tools. All products are available in carbon steel only.
The company wants to expand its product range with a stainless steel program and is looking for cooperation with steel companies or technical institutes with knowledge of forging and hardening of stainless steel.
A well established Dutch company is specialized in designing and manufacturing of traditional hand forged tools. After forging, the products are hardened using special environmetal friendly liquids. The products are used in road construction, landscaping, agriculture and horticulture.
The company has developed an exclusive and extended range of standard and special products, for example: spades, forks, hoes, rakes, cultivators and other hand tools. All products are available in carbon steel only.

Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
The stainless steel specifications should be equal to the specifications of the carbon steel equivalent Borium-25. Requirements: reasonable machining and non-machining workability.
Production process: cutting, welding, forging, hardening and grinding.
The basic material is based on 2,5 mm stainless steel sheet. This must be welded without preheating. In order to optimize the final product the material must be hardened after the forging process.
Further specifications:
-The final product should have a hardness of 50 Rockwell.
-The final product must be absolutely free of corrosion.
