Název projektu:
Transparent Flexible Material with Low Thermal Expansion (11 US 87GA 3M6X)
Popis:
A large US company is looking for proposals for joint development partners to create transparent flexible materials with low thermal expansion.
They are interested in licensing, joint/contract development.
Country: Luxembourg Type: REQUEST Date: 02.09.2011
Transparent flexible materials with low thermal expansion are actively being developed throughout the world to realize flexible liquid crystal or organic EL displays and solar cells.
The required properties for such applications include transparency, heat resistance, low thermal expansion and flexibility. In addition to the development of new resins, compounding using inorganic fillers have been also of interest.
Therefore, in order to further accelerate their technology development, the company has issued this open request for various approaches.
Possible approaches might include, but are not limited to:
- Resin materials:
Cyclic polyolefin
Polyolefin
Polyester
Polyimide
Polyamide
Fluororesins
- Organic/inorganic composite materials.
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
The client aims to establish a low-cost manufacturing technology of the materials shown below, with the ultimate goal of creating alternatives for glass substrates in displays.
Requirements for Material:
- Coefficient of linear expansion: ‹10 ppm/K (TMA: 30°C to 250°C)
- Glass transition temperature: › 250°C
- Light transmittance: › 90% (400 nm to 700 nm)
- Allowable bending radius: › 10 mm.
They are interested in licensing, joint/contract development.

Požadavky na partnera:
Requested Cooperation: License Agreement, Joint further development
Responses from companies (large or small, startups, etc.), hospital or academic researchers, contract research institutes, pharmacologists, nutritionists, medicinal chemists, drug formulators, biochemists, physiologists, alternative or traditional medicine providers, etc., from around the world are all welcome.
ANTICIPATED PROJECT PHASES OR PROJECT PLAN
The client will review proposals and possibly ask clarifying questions or request supporting data before selecting the most suitable candidates for collaboration. The client will execute non-disclosure agreements (NDA) with selected respondents, seek further information disclosure, and discuss development targets. The client will select the best candidates through sample tests, face to face meetings, conference-calls, etc.
The client will execute necessary agreement(s) with the selected respondents and kick off the project to establish the technology.
Note that this profile requires a convincing solution proposal. Please contact your local EEN to get the Response template and find more information on the specific process here: http://www.us-eu-match.com/index.cfm?action=processFlow
