Development Partners for Wireless Power Transfer Technology for Residential Spaces (12 LU 87GA 3P6F)
Popis:
A large US company is looking for proposals for joint development partners for wireless power transfer technology with high efficiency. The final goal is implementing wireless power that can supply multiple devices in a typical living space. The anticipated method for wireless power transfer is magnetic resonance, but other approaches are also welcome if they have the potential to achieve the following requirements.
They are interested in joint/contract development, licensing.
The client aims to implement comfortable and functional rooms in next-generation homes that can transmit power without wires. In order to realize this concept, there are many technological issues to be solved, such as the size of the coils on the receivers and transmitters are different, the relative positioning between the devices (such as a home appliance) and the transmitter is not fixed, the device that receives electricity may be mobile, and it is necessary to transmit electricity to multiple devices.
Currently, wireless power transfer technology is an active research area and is being developed throughout the world, especially for automobiles.
This includes a research into efficiently supplying electricity to moving objects with high efficiency, as in the issue at hand. Therefore, believing that potential technologies exist throughout the world, the client is searching globally for joint development partners that have promising technologies, in order to further accelerate its technology development.
Anticipated approaches include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
"Impedance matching control on the transmitter:
-Frequency control
-Detection of the condition of the receiver"Coil configuration:
-N-coil method
-Array coils"Coil structure and material:
-Use of a core
-Use of superconducting materials, etc."Use of relay devices (methods that use relaying objects that would interfere with the room space are not under consideration)"Novel methods that are different from magnetic resonance.
The following types of approaches are not under consideration:
"Methods that use relaying objects that would interfere with the room space.
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
Anticipated usage conditions:"Supply power from one or more transmitters to multiple receivers."The distance between the transmitter and the receiver is up to 1.5m."The coil sizes of the transmitters are not equal to that of the receivers."The relative positioning between transmitters and receivers is not fixed.
Final Goal:
"Coil size: diameter < 50cm (Note: the sizes of the coils between the transmitter and the receivers are different.)"Transfer power: 1,500W"Transfer efficiency: > 90% (this is the efficiency throughout the space of an entire room, such as 10m × 10m × 1.5m)"Transfer distance: 0 to 1.5m.
Requirements for the respondent:
"At this stage, respondents should have wireless power transfer technology or the elemental technology and can demonstrate the current technology level (papers, press release, etc.)"Respondents should describe a specific development plan to contribute to the final goal, such as:
-Transfer efficiency to multiple devices: > 90%
-Transfer efficiency between coils of different sizes: > 90%
-Transfer efficiency across a distance of the transmitter coil diameter: > 95% (not including the efficiency of the power source unit)
-Transfer efficiency across a distance of the diameter of the transmitter coil, even if there is a positional deviation between the centers of two coils : > 90%
-Has technology related to high-frequency power sources.
It is preferable if the respondents are able to design a total system for realizing a final goal.
Requested Cooperation: License Agreement, Joint further development
Responses from companies (large or small, startups, etc.), hospital or academic researchers, contract research institutes, pharmacologists, nutritionists, medicinal chemists, drug formulators, biochemists, physiologists, alternative or traditional medicine providers, etc., from around the world are all welcome.
ANTICIPATED PROJECT PHASES OR PROJECT PLAN
The client will review the proposals and possibly ask clarifying questions or request supporting experimental data before selecting the most suitable candidates for collaboration. The client will execute non-disclosure agreements (NDA) with selected respondents, seek further information disclosure, and discuss specific supply or development targets. The client will select the best candidate through evaluations of supporting information, samples, face to face meetings, conference-call, etc.
The client will execute necessary agreement(s) with the selected respondent(s) and kick off the project to establish the technology within five years. Specifics of any collaboration will be determined through consultation with the concerned parties.
Note that this profile requires a convincing solution proposal. Please contact your local EEN to get the Response template and find more information on the specific process here: http://www.us-eu-match.com/index.cfm?action=processFlow
